Ghazal 22

Red tulip red rose the colors are different
but in every color the spring has flowered

I learned to write beautifully to meet the beloved
each word I speak a desire for loving

What sort of drunk is drinking for fun
I need to forget each day each night

Drinking should end with your head in a toilet
Such penitent kneeling is perfect for prayer

You should always be drunk that too is wisdom
the self holds a cabinet for every liquor
